Leading provider of C4i and communications solutions for defence, security and professional public safety users, Savox Communications, will be exhibiting at the Defence Services Asia event, DSA 2016, (Stand # 3007), in Kuala Lumpur from 18-21 April, displaying its latest systems and making a number of important contract-related announcements.
Unveiled for the first time in the region will be the THOR Integrated Combat Headgear System. THOR was unveiled last autumn in Europe and the Middle East, where it has already been adopted by a number of leading defence and security end users. Developed initially for the Finnish Future Warrior 2020 Programme, the headgear system is, potentially, an ideal component for any of the many future infantry soldier modernisation programmes, underway globally.
THOR’s modular, integrated construct makes it extremely versatile and its connectivity capabilities ensure that, no matter who the end user is, they will be able to stay connected with the battlefield, or operational scenario around them. This makes THOR suitable for traditional combat scenarios, as well as urban counter-terrorism and security operations, homeland security and Special Forces’ ops.
Also on the Savox stand at DSA will be the IMP C4i-enabling, next-generation, lightweight, digital communications system. This supports intercom, radio and data transmissions in one solution for use aboard a wide range of land-based AFVs such as self-propelled guns and main battle tanks, as well as APCs and a wide variety of maritime vessels. IMP provides full connectivity, both onboard a vehicle/platform, as well as outside into the wider tactical radio network. IMP has already been adopted by high-profile end users in both Europe and the Middle East.
Savox will be making announcements relating to both land-based applications of its systems, as well as developments about key maritime wins
