Field Testing a Savox Bone Conduction Mic, RSM and PTT

Posted by Mikael Westerlund on May 16, 2016 6:54:51 PM

We sent the Savox design team, approvals managers and sales people on a day trip to see some of the best "smoke diving" trainers in the Northern Hemisphere.  In this real simulation training exercise wearing full equipment, we wanted to ensure that our existing products meet real world challenges, and that we continue to design/manufacture products for real life situations.

Firefighters face intense scenarios every day, all while trying to save both property and lives. Firefighters and the equipment are subject to heat, smoke, water and even explosions as they work. At Savox, we work to test our products first-hand, stress testing each of our products to ensure they will last through even the harshest situations. By doing so we can continue to provide the great products and support our customers have come to expect.

Savox means quality.

First, and of primary importance, is that using cheap imitation headsets pose unnecessary risks to personnel wearing these headsets.  Lives lost, personal safety at risk, time and money wasted with inferior products are not acceptable.

Using bone conduction headsets with tight helmets?

As you know the Classic HC-1 comes pre-assembled in the sales package with the generic arm & strap assembly. However many of our customers are using the Gallet F1 series of helmets. The universal mounting kit works with this range of helmets as well however, the best user comfort in these really tight helmets is provided by the dedicated mounting kits for this helmet brand and model. We recommend changing the universal arm and strap assembly, to the dedicated mounting for this helmet.

Yes it is really easy and the kit is included in your sales package!
